36 kg gold, cash found dumped
Kataram police handed over the booty to Warangal police
KARIMNAGAR: Around 36 kg gold and cash worth Rs 10,000 were found in Ambatipalli village in Mahadavapur mandal on Saturday.
The gold and cash is believed to have been stolen from two cooperative banks in Bhupalapalli mandal headquarters recently. Kataram police handed over the booty to Warangal police.
Kataram Inspector T. Srinivas Rao said the gold was recovered from the backyard of one Ollala Ramesh, a kirana shop owner in Ambatipalli.
The police rushed to the spot after Ramesh told them about the gunny bag containing gold. Some people left the bag in the backyard on Friday.
