The Japanese Garden constructed at a cost of Rs 80 lakh is spread over 3,500 square yards at Road No: 3.

The urban biodiversity wing had completed works at the Japanese Park before elections. They also dotted the facility with motifs representing Japanese gardens and gave it a look different from other city gardens.

The theme park has gazebos, 12 solar lamps, stone lanterns in typical Japanese style with chips, a small water body and a stone arched bridge.

The other theme park costs around Rs 45 lakh. The ‘Jurassic Park’ was planned to display animal species which existed 150 million years ago. The park was completed before elections.

A senior GHMC official said, “It is difficult to get the CM’s date for inauguration. Once dates are confirmed the parks will be inaugurated.”

The GHMC is in charge of 15 theme parks in the city like the Palm Garden at Malakpet, Bamboo Garden and Bougainvilla Garden in Jubilee Hills. The GHMC has 49 major gardens apart from 520 parks in different colonies.
