MP Mithun Reddy adopts Sadum under Sansad Yojna
He reiterated that he would ensure comprehensive development of the village
Tirupati: Rajampeta YSR Congress MP Peddireddi Mithun Reddy is to adopt his native Sadum in Chittoor district soon.
Speaking to this newspaper on Friday, the young MP said that the mandal headquarters Sadum had given their family a lot politically for several decades now and added that it was now their turn to contribute to the overall development of Sadum.
Mr Mithun Reddy said that he would adopt Sadum under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna soon. The Rajampeta MP reiterated that he would ensure comprehensive development of the village by ensuring better roads, uninterrupted power supply, purified drinking water supply, better facilities at the state run schools, better sanitation and health care facilities are available for the denizens of the mandal headquarters.
Meanwhile, shifting his focus onto the developments relating to the new capital, Mr Mithun Reddy took a strong exception to the manner in which the TD-led state government was dealing with the capital issue.
“Looking at the manner in which the state government is heading in terms of building the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, one gets the impression that yet again all the development would be centralised which is not good for the state,” he said.
Having learnt a bitter lesson of centralising all the development in Hyderabad during the erstwhile united state of Andhra Pradesh, now is the time to focus on decentralised development, he noted. He also wondered why the state government wanted lands to the extent of close to 40,000 acre to build the new capital and expressed doubts over the integrity of the state government in trying to pool such a large extent of lands in the name of the new capital.
Mr Mithun Reddy reiterated that at any point of time if the state government tries to take the farmers for a ride in the name of state capital, the YSRC would stand in strong support of the farmers.
