Kochi: Kerala High Court on Friday asked the Kerala State Electricity Board to ensure uninterrupted power supply at Sabarimala, especially along the trekking path.
A division bench comprising Justice T.R. Ramachandra Menon and Justice P.V. Asha issued the directive while considering a report submitted by the Special Commissioner seeking a directive to the KSEB to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout mandala makaravilakku season.
The court asked the KSEB to provide electricity at Sannidhanam, Pamba and Nilakkal. The Travancore Devaswom Board, meanwhile, submitted that generators can be provided on the route from Marakkoottam to Sannidhanam from Sharamkuthi on the stretch of Swami Ayyappan Road.
