Priyanka Chopra sings John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

Mumbai: As far as singing in B’town goes, Priyanka Chopra is a late bloomer...what with her first filmy song being finalised only now for Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadkne Do. In America however, Priyanka’s music career is going great. Her latest triumph, believe it or not, is a new version of the John Lennon classic Imagine.

According to a source Priyanka personally approached John Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono, for the rights to sing his song. “A special video is being put together for the 25th anniversary of the convention for the ‘Right Of The Child’. There are many big names from across the world contributing to the ‘crooning glory’. PC wanted her song to turn out perfect,” says a source.

The actress has shot this video in collaboration with music producer and DJ, David Guetta. Yoko Ono has also contributed to the video. Every Child Counts, Every Voice Counts is a global initiative to raise awareness of children’s rights and to raise funds to support UNICEF’s work to advance these rights for every child.
