Ram Gopal Varma in one more tweet case
Hyderabad: Film maker Ram Gopal Varma created another controversy with his tweets by allegedly “insulting” Lord Narasimha Swami and Lord Balaji, and promoted enmity between the peoples of AP and Telangana.
An advocate has filed a petition in LB Nagar court demanding that a case be booked against RGV for his tweets on Wednesday.
The filmmaker, who gets into controversy with his ‘blasphemous’ tweets often, asked in his tweet why Telangana gave importance to AP’s Lord Balaji and why they are not praying to Telangana god Yadagiri Narasimha. The petitioner Govardhan Reddy alleged that RGV was trying to incite hatred between AP and TS.
TS with his tweets. The court is likely to direct LB Nagar police to book a case against RGV. LB Nagar police officials said they have not got the court order so far.
RGV sarcastically tweeted to his 1.04 million subscribers on Wednesday. "I am not a believer in God but I feel it's insulting to Yadagiri Narasimha that Telangana people pray to Andhra people's Balaji more."
"Like you love your own country shouldn't you be praying to your own state's God instead of praying to another state's God?"
"Isn't it wrong that Telangana people think of their own God Yadagiri Narasimha lesser than Andhra people's God?"
His last tweet said that he was happy that TS Chief Minister was developing Yadagirigutta.
"I am very happy the KCR is developing Yadagirigutta and I think this act of his will make Telangana people realise the value of their own God."
