Junior doctors ignore High Court, continue strike
They have not received a copy of the order from the High Court
Hyderabad: Despite an appeal by the director of health and medical education, junior doctors are going to continue with their strike. The director had appealed to the doctors to resume work in the interest of the patients. Dr Mohammed Imran of Gandhi Medical College said, “The director asked us to resume work. But there have not been any negotiations on our issue.” Dr P. Srinivas, director of health and medical education, said, “We have told them that their demands would be considered, and as per the court order, they would be dealt with sympathetically.” Medicos, however, say they have not received a copy of the order from the High Court and will continue with their strike.
