Hyderabad: Thieves made a futile attempt to steal cash from the Central Bank of India ATM at Kalyan Nagar in the wee hours of Thursday. But the crooks did not get any cash even after repeated attempts.
The thieves entered the unmanned ATM centre and damaged the machine’s screen. They tried to open the locker but failed. Later, they attempted to break open the machine but had to leave with empty hands.
Customers alerted cops. “We have collected clues. The crooks targeted the centre as there was no guard. There was a camera inside. Its footage is being examined,” said SI Chandra Shekar. The bank filed complaint and a case was registered.
