Hyderabad: An attention diversion gang targeted a couple and looted about Rs 4.5 lakh at Kothapet. The crooks followed the victims, sprinkled powder to divert attention and fled with the cash bag.
According to D. Vijay, detective SI, LB Nagar, the couple withdrew their insurance cash from Rajadhani Cooperative Bank in Kothapet.
“The couple stopped the vehicle and while Subhadra was checking what happened, the accused approached them and asked to wash her neck.
It was while she was washing, they fled with the cash bag,” said detective SI Vijay. The victim couple was identified as Narasimha, 55 and Subhadra, 45, residents of Hayathnagar.
