Bengaluru: A 40-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl on Thursday. The accused, identified as D.R. Arvind Reddy, an electrician, had gone to the victim’s house to fix a fan on November 10.
The accused lured the girl with a candy, took her to the bathroom and kissed her. He violated the minor’s private parts, after which he masturbated, said the police, quoting the accused who had reportedly confessed to his crime.
The victim is the daughter of a software engineer of a reputed MNC. The girl complained of abdominal pain to her parents on Wednesday. It was confirmed at Bowring Hospital that she was sexually assaulted. The police arrested the accused on Wednesday and booked him under POCSO Act. “Only the medical and forensic tests results will reveal if the victim was raped,” police said.
