‘Raj, D.K., Saif taught me a lot’, Aditya Jella

Aditya Jella, talks about his journey into films and his future plans of directing
Mumbai: Twenty-four-year-old Aditya Jella from Hyderabad, who worked as the additional cinematographer for the Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Happy Ending, is already an old hand in the industry.
Aditya, who was also the co-cinematographer for three music videos, talks about his experience working with the team of Happy Ending, his association with directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., his future projects and more.
Having earlier worked with Raj, D.K. and Saif Ali Khan in Go Goa Gone, Aditya says that he couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with.
“For me it is the best team that I could have chosen to work with. I cannot imagine work being easier and more fun than with these guys. As a teenager, I was always amused by two cities Mumbai and New York, and to work in those cities was my dream which was fulfilled by working in Happy Ending,” Aditya says, adding, “The first Hindi film that I watched on the big screen was Kal Ho Na Ho and to be working with Saif at the very start of my career did teach me a lot. I tried to observe and learn from the directors Raj and D.K. While shooting, there was definitely a lot of hard work, but loads of fun as well.”
Aditya started his career with Raj and D.K. and his bond with the directors seems to be growing stronger with every project. Talking about his association with the duo, he says, “Raj and D.K. are the two names that pretty much describe my journey into films.
The understanding and comfort level we share is incredible. It’s like I know what kind of a shot they’re looking for even if they explain it to me over the phone. Working with them from a young age has developed me a lot in terms of film making and also making creative choices. The confidence they carry on the sets is incredible.
They are like my film school and I can never get enough of working with them.” Aditya now has plans to direct his own film. “I have signed another Bollywood film, which will start next year. But I am also looking forward to directing my own film sometime soon,” he says.
