Find your lost phone with this Rs 1,500 gadget

Motorola unveiled a gadget that can find your lost phone with a single click

Motorola has been in the news recently with something for all. By launching the Moto G, Moto X and Moto E, Motorola made sure it could cater to people who have different budgets when opting for a smartphone. From shoe-string budget to high-end performance, they have a device for all.

Not only did they step back into the smartphone business after disappearing for long, they also made a breakthrough with the world’s first round dial Android smartwatch. This time again, they have launched something you would definitely want to have along with your smartphone.

Keylink, Motorola’s latest gadget is as small as a keychain. It is a RF remote controlled device which is linked to your smartphone, all the time. But what is great about the device would blow your mind.

Never lose your phone again.

Here’s an old situation: You haven’t gone very far but you know you’re missing something. You check your pockets, maybe rifle through your bag. Where did your phone go?

Solution? Motorola Keylink! Keylink is a small device that you attach to your keychain. Using the Motorola Connect app on your phone, you can connect your keys to your phone in case either tends to wander off. If your phone decides to play hide and seek with you, you can press a button on Keylink to make it ring up to 100 feet away. Or if your keys get a similar idea, you can use the Motorola Connect App to make Keylink ring.

Keylink is compatible with Android and iOS devices. Simply download the Motorola Connect app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store today to get started.

It gets even better: If you own a Moto X (2nd gen.), Droid Turbo or a phone running Android 5.0, Lollipop, you can use your trusted device settings to enable the added ability to keep your phone unlocked when your keys are nearby. This way you don’t have to enter your password to use it. Just enable trusted devices by going into settings and then security.

And it gets even better: The battery lasts upwards of a year and you can replace it with a coin cell battery found in any local drug or convenience store.

What’s even better? If you lost your keys, you can use the app to see where your keys are on a map.

Keylink is splashproof (not waterproof) and can be used for almost a year without a charge or replacing the battery.

Here’s the best part you want to hear. Motorola’s Keylink costs just $25 (approx Rs 1,500) and is available online.
