Shamshabad Airport on alert after Ebola case

Hyderabad: The Shamshabad airport has been on alert after the first case of Ebola in India was detected at the New Delhi airport. The health officers at the airport have been asked to check every detail of the passengers who have complained of cough, fever and sore throat.
The passengers have been asked to submit residential details to ensure that and follow-up is immediate in case of a flare up of the symptoms.
Dr Jupaka Mahesh, senior regional director of Airport Health Organisation said, “There is no suspected here case so far. The virus takes 21 days to act inside the body. The patient must be alert and in case of any symptoms, he/she must self-report to Gandhi Hospital.”
