Hyderabad: The Alwal police has detained 10 people for allegedly trying to convert people from other faiths to Christianity. The group was found distributing Christian literature to non-Christians.
The incident occurred at Ayyapa Nagar on Wednesday. The members of the group, aged between 20 and 25 years, are students of Asha Jyothi, an organisation which imparts training in computer skills.
Inspector S.V. Hari Krishna said the group was carrying pamphlets on Christianity. The group said that they were asked to distribute the material by Asha Jyothi the organisation.
