Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has represented India on many occasions at global platforms also has a side not known to many. The actress who was crowned Miss World 20 years ago, chose to celebrate the day in a charitable way. Photo: Viral Bhayani- Aishwarya spent her first year spreading the message of world peace after winning the crown in 1994. She has gone on to support many other causes and has even set up her own charitable foundation to give back to society.
- Wednesday's function was celebrated with mini cupcakes which Aishwarya fed to the little children. The actress was touch when one of the children picked up a cupcake and offered it to her.
- The parents of the kids are reportedly glad to find financial support from the actress.
- She is extremely happy to be able to contribute and bring smiles on their kiddie faces.
- She went on to say that she will also celebrate Aaradhya's 3rd birthday through her foundation 'The Aishwarya Rai Foundation' by meeting around 50-60 children and having a small party for them.
- Aishwarya's spokesperson says, "Yes, Aishwarya has pledged her support by sponsoring surgeries of 100 children with cleft to mark the 20th anniversary of her winning the Miss World pageant and its also the eve of her fathers 76th birthday."

- The actress helped bring a smile to the faces of children with cleft lips. A friend of the actress told DC that she had extended financial support to the kids and their families.
- Aishwarya has been involved in a lot of social work from the time she was crowned Miss World in 1994. She was accompanied by her father Krishnaraj Rai, as they attended an event hosted by Smile Train India at a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday.
