Mumbai: Some celebrities go out and lavishly spend on their weddings with prominent figures in attendance like the recent one being Salman Khan’s sister Arpita’s royal wedding. But actor-comedian, Vir Das chose privacy and scenic beauty of Sri Lanka to get married.
Vir married his longtime girlfriend Shivani Mathur on October 19 in a low key ceremony. It was attended by 100 guests being his family and close friends. Reportedly he asked everyone to switch off their smart-phones so that they could spend some quality time with each other.
The wedding was a three day affair at a private beach in Negombo. The pool party was followed by rock concert, sangeet ceremony and pheras.
Vir dated the event manager for five years, was in a live in relationship for four years. Owing to Vir and Shivani's busy schedule, the couple haven't had the time to go for a honeymoon, but they will soon be taking off for somewhere. He is planning to host a reception in Mumbai soon. We wish the couple a happy married life.
