Sushant Singh Rajput who has been in a steady relationship with Ankita Lokhande, has repeatedly denied that they have tied the knot. While the couple has been very open about their “live-in” relationship, they’ve issued repeated denials to reports that they are officially married. And the latest buzz that’s doing the rounds is not going to help their cause any — our sources from the couple’s friend circle tell us that Sushant and Ankita recently hosted a bash for peers from the television industry “to celebrate their first wedding anniversary”.
“The instruction given to the guests was to not let the details out to the press,” says one of our sources, who was also invited to the shindig. We also hear that an executive from production house Balaji (Ankita and Sushant met on the sets of a Balaji show, Pavitra Rishta) who attended the party put up a congratulatory post for the couple on a social networking site, and was asked to delete the same by Ankita.
Rumours about the couple’s marital status started circulating soon after Sushant’s second Bollywood release, Shuddh Desi Romance, with many industry insiders claiming that the duo had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last year.
Of course, if Sushant and Ankita are indeed married, this wouldn’t be the first time an actor has kept such a detail under wraps, from Juhi Chawla to John Abraham, many B’wood stars prefer to keep mum on their marital status.
Sushant was unavailable for comment.
