Reviewing the project on Monday, municipal minister P. Narayana said the project would be extended to the entire state.
Hyderabad: The LED lighting scheme has now been approved by the implementing agency EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited) for municipalities and corporations across the state.
The pilot project will be taken up in Hindupur, Gudur, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam for replacement of existing inefficient sodium or mercury vapour lamps with energy efficient LED street lighting system.
