Kalaburgi: A swamji from a math in Chittapur town has allegedly raped an 11-year old girl at the math on October 29. The issue came to light on Monday. The police has arrested Sri Somashekhar Swamiji of Kambali Math.
According to a complaint filed by the ‘public’, the swamji allegedly raped the girl when she had gone to sweep the math premises. The girl informed her parents, but they kept quiet. However, some prominent people in the town came to know about the incident and lodged a complaint on October 16.
