Sharad Pawar to discuss party’s future strategy with NCP leaders
Mumbai: NCP president Sharad Pawar hasconvened a two-day meeting of senior party leaders and office-bearers in Maharashtra to discuss the road ahead and
strengthening the organisational set up.
The deliberations will begin tomorrow at Alibaug in the state's Raigad district, party spokesman Nawab Malik said.
Nearly 240 party leaders and office-bearers from all over the state will be participating in the internal discussions, Malik said.
There will be discussions on the prevailing political scenario and role of the party, he said.
"Strengthening the organisation and increasing the party mass base is also on the agenda," he added.
The NCP stood at fourth position with 41 seats in the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections and has declared outside support to the state BJP government.
