Jitan Ram Manjhi irks JD(U) with PM Narendra Modi remark

Centre didn’t invite him to the ceremony on Saturday

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi is in trouble for shooting his mouth off once again. JD(U) leaders are now openly criticising Mr Manjhi for saying on Saturday that he will support Prime Minister Narendra Modi if Bihar is given special category status.

Though party strongman Nitish Kumar has not said anything against the Chief Minister yet, his anger could easily gauged. Party insiders said that the ex-CM was fuming over Mr Manjhi’s statement.

Mr Manjhi’s made the comment during the inauguration of Barh Super Power Project which was Mr Kumar’s dream project. But Centre didn’t invite him to the ceremony on Saturday.

“Special category status is Bihar’s Right and we want it there is no need to become anybody’s disciple” said Neeraj Kumar, senior JD (U) leader.
