Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy accidentally drowned in a sump at Bilal Nagar in Kalapather on Saturday. The victim, identified as Mohammed Aman, was the son of Mohd. Shakir, an autorickshaw driver.
Sub-inspector G. Sravan Kumar said that on Saturday at around 5 pm, Aman left the house for playing, but didn’t return.
His father searched for him in all possible places and then lodged a complaint. A missing case was registered and during investigation, Aman was found dead in the sump in an under construction building in the neighborhood.
“He may have gone to play there and might have accidentally fell into the six feet deep sump. His body was retrieved in the morning and shifted to hospital.
The case has been altered to a suspicious death case,” said Mr Sravan Kumar. The body was handed over to the victim’s family after postmortem on Sunday.
