Understanding the industry:
A group of eight women entrepreneurs including Juhi Chawla and Nita Ambani were in town to understand the working of the Southern film industries. Vandana Agarwal of Josh Media and Entertainment, who organised for a tour of the studio in the city as well as a shoot, said, “Juhi Chawla had called us and mentioned that they wanted to understand how studios and shoots work down South. So they got to see a shot of an ad starring Mahesh Babu, directed by Trivikram and also got a tour of the Annapurna Studios from Nagarjuna.”
Making a wish:
As a part of the fifth edition of their Comedy Night, Samahaara staged the play, Last Wish Baby an adaptation of William Seebring’s play of the same name. Performed by around twenty young actors, some performing for the first time, the play was an extraordinary display of talent and creativity.
A dose of bollywood:
The cast and crew of the upcoming Bollywood film Zed Plus were present in the city for their film’s promotion. The press conference took place at a city lounge and saw in attendance the lead actors of the film.
Man’s best friend:
For dog lovers in the city, Sunday was truly one of the best days. Organised at Hitec City was a dog show titled Pedigree HyCan’14. Over 300 dogs from across the country were part of the event that was attended by children and adults.
