Emergency BCCI meet on November 18
The meeting will take a call on the board’s AGM and the election
Chennai: In a bid to avoid another legal battle, the BCCI has decided to call an Emergent Working Committee Meeting in the city on November 18. The meeting will take a call on the board’s AGM and the election which was earlier scheduled to be held on November 20.
As the BCCI lawyer had told the Supreme Court that the AGM would be postponed for four weeks, the decision requires a stamp of approval from the powerful group especially after a few member associations have written to BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel asking him not to postpone the AGM.
As he did before, president-in-exile N. Srinivasan is likely to attend the meeting as the chief of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
