Nellore: After witnessing the installations at Krishnapatnam Port from the seafront while on a mechanised boat on Saturday, Masterblaster Sachin Tendulkar was all praise for the management for developing the port within six years.
The port management, led by the MD C. Sasidhar, and CEO Anil Yendluri gave a warm reception to Sachin, when he reached the port by a helicopter from Chennai on Saturday evening. He was given a guard of honour by the security guards of the port.
Sachin adopted a tiny village, Puttamrajuvari Kandriga, in Gudur mandal and he is scheduled to visit the hamlet on Sunday after an overnight stay in port guesthouse.
He interacted with the students of CVR English Medium School, run by the port authorities for a while and the students were delighted when the celebrity gave them autographs patiently.
Nellore joint collector G.Rekha Rani was also present.
