Jet attack on MH17? Russian broadcaster shows satellite images
Moscow: New reports that have surfaced by the Russian experts, highlighting the possibility of the Malaysian Boeing MH17 being shot down by a Ukrainian warplane and not by a ground to air missile.
This is following the release of ‘leaked’ satellite images, which show a missile heading towards the passenger plane. These images were released by Russia's main state broadcaster. It was claimed that the space pictures were from a British or US satellite.
The flight took off from Amsterdam for destination Kuala Lumpur. It disappeared from the radar while it was over the conflict-hit region. A total of 283 passengers, including 80 children, and 15 crew members were killed.
The TV presenter Mikhail Leontiev claimed that the mysterious source who provided the images concluded they showed 'how a Mig-29 fighter plane destroys the Boeing passenger plane', according per DailyMail.
Other reports have repeatedly suggested the plane was shot down by pro-Moscow rebels using a Russian-made BUK missile system.
The broadcast came ahead of the G20 summit in Australia, where Western leaders including David Cameron will be confronting Russian President Vladimir Putin over the crash.
Putin previously accused the Ukrainians of 'constantly shelling' the MH17 crash site earlier this week amid steeply rising concern that he has ordered massive military reinforcements to support pro-Moscow rebel forces.
