THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP (community police) M.N. Krishnamoorthy will probe into the allegation raised by solar scam, accused Saritha S. Nair against ADGP south-zone K. Padmakumar.
Saritha had alleged in a petition given to the state police chief on Thursday that Mr Padmakumar was responsible for leaking out her obscene video clips.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala told reporters here on Friday that DGP K.S. Balasubramanian had directed Mr. Krishnamoorthy to probe into the complaint given by Saritha.
Meanwhile, Mr Padmakumar told reporters that he welcomed the decision to probe into the allegation against him and would cooperate with it.
Mr Padmakumar, while serving as IG Ernakulam-range, had seized Saritha’s laptop and mobile phones. Some of those mobile phones were not returned or produced before the court. The obscene video clips being circulated in WhatsApp these days were from those phones, she said in the complaint.
