MP’s details were enrolled twice: Telugu Desam
Opposition parties alleged that MP's family details were enrolled in Nizamabad district and Hyderabad
Nizamabad: The double enrolment of details of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha family’s details in the Intensive Household Survey (IHS) had rocked the Assembly for the last two days. The oppositoin parties alleged that the MP’s family details were enrolled in the survey both at Pothangal village of Navipet mandal in Nizamabad district and in Hyderabad too. Kavitha’s father in-law Ramkishan Rao had furnished details of his son Anil, daughter in-law Kavitha and two grandsons to the survey staff.
The Telugu Desam leaders said Kavitha’s details were enrolled even in Hyderabad. It is worth mentioning that neither the MP nor her family members did not refute the allegations of the opposition parties. It was also found that in Nizamabad district alone, details of around 14,000 households were enrolled twice for various reasons during the intensive household survey.
However, the double entries were deleted during computerisation of the data collected from across the state.Speaking to this newspaper, district collector D. Ronald Rose said details relating to MP Kavitha were enrolled at Pothangal village. He said he was not aware of the enrolment of details in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, sources close to Kavitha’s family said on the day when the survey was held, the MP was not available at her in-laws house due to some illness. There are no photographs or any other evidence to prove that Kavitha’s family details were enrolled in Hyderabad.
