NTPC generated 9,631.43 million units from April 1, 2014 till date, surpassing 9,576 MU
Karimnagar: Despite frequent outages in one or the other unit, the NTPC generated 9,631.43 million units from April 1, 2014 till date, surpassing its target of 9,576 MU set for the period. The corporation performed considerably well in previous financial year too.The power station witnesses outages owing to technical snags to boilers of its units. Recently, overhauling of the Unit-6 took 34 days.
Generation of power at Unit-5 and Unit-7 was suspended due to major repair but the station could produce 9,631 million units of power in the current financial year.Similarly, the station recorded 84.34 per cent of plant load factor (PLF) as against its target of 83.86 so far. Earlier, the station’s output was 19,746 MU in 2013-14. Highest generation of power was 63.577 MU at a PLF of 101.9 pc on April 6, 2013.
