Hyderabad High Court asks CBI for former minister Jana Reddy information
Reddy is accused of misappropriation of power and illegal gratification
Hyderabad: Justice P. Naveen Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday asked the CBI counsel to place the status of a complaint seeking probe into alleged abuse of power by former minister K. Jana Reddy, before it by November 21.
The judge was hearing a plea by T. Chinnapa Reddy, an industrialist, seeking to declare the action of the CBI in not initiating probe against Jana Reddy, as illegal.
The petitioner told the court that he had made a complaint before the CBI, New Delhi against alleged misappropriation of power and illegal gratification of Jana Reddy during his tenure as a minister from the year 1983 to 2013 in the erstwhile state of AP.
