BJP to up ante against govt, plans protests

BJP has also decided to launch an awareness campaign against the Congress government

Bengaluru: Following a directive from party national president Amit Shah that they should adopt an aggressive stance against the Congress government, the state BJP has planned a series of agitations till the four ‘tainted’ ministers are removed from the Siddaramaiah Cabinet.

BJP state office bearers’ meeting held at the party office on Thursday decided to confront the government on various issues.

Along with the membership drive targeting 75 lakh members, the BJP has also decided to launch an awareness campaign against the Congress government.

It has decided to take on the government on the issue of poor governance, law and order situation, increase in sexual assaults on school children, the Arkavathi denotification scam and land grab by ministers in the state cabinet.

Notwithstanding land scams of its own leaders, Mr Shah has directed the state unit to go al out against the government with an eye on the 2018 Assembly elections.
