Vaidehi Reddy declared as the winner of Doodle4Google contest
Vaidehi Reddy, a IXth grade student from Army Public School, Pune has won the Doodle4Google Contest held in Delhi. The theme for the Doodle4Google Contest 2014 was ‘A place in India I wish to visit’
Vaidehi’s doodle artfully depicts Assam, where she would like to go because it is rich in both, natural beauty and culture. The doodle made by Vaidehi Reddy will be featured on the Google India homepage on November 14 to celebrate Children’s Day.
Google India received more than a million entries from over 2100 schools across 50 cities. The tech giant had displayed 12 doodles that were put up for online voting.
However, Google's National Jury included political cartoonist Ajit Ninan, Art Director Children's Publishing at ACK Media Savio Mascarenhas, and Google Doodle team lead Ryan Gerick.
