DMK, AIADMK won’t last: Rajiv Pratap Rudy
Minister for skill development said that these parties have least interest for the state
Chennai: The Dravidian majors, beset with scams and internal squabbles, “will wither away” after the 2016 Assembly poll in Tamil Nadu. And the state will follow Haryana and Maharashtra in electing the new BJP government, BJP leader and Union minister for skill development and entrepreneurship, parliamentary affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy has asserted.
“People had thought it was impossible for the BJP to win in Haryana and Maharashtra elections. “See the election results… from out of negligible presence we have emerged as major players in both Haryana and Maharashtra. The saffron wave is everywhere from the gateway to Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and Maharashtra,” Rudy said.
Further, the minister asked, “When it works in other states why not in Tamil Nadu?” while addressing state general council meeting of his party here on Wednesday. The party would form government for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir and it would capture power in Bihar from where he hailed from. Taking potshots at the DMK and AIADMK he said these parties had “least interest for the state and they will wither away in the next Assembly elections.”
Hence, the party members should seize the opportunity and start poll work from panchayat level. Later, speaking to reporters he said “some good outcome” would soon emerge on the issue of five fishermen facing death sentence in Sri Lanka. “Wait for the final outcome and I am sure that this government (in Delhi) is fully aware of the issue and some good outcome will come,” the Union minister assured.
Dismissing as “wrong perception” that the Centre was imposing Hindi in Tamil Nadu, Rudy indicated that the state should join the national mainstream.
