Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has plans to build skyscrapers around Hussainsagar.
Mr Rao reviewed proposals to build 60 to 100-storeyed towers around the lake on Wednesday and asked officials to design them on the lines of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the seafront towers in Mumbai, which could house government offices, business establishments, entertainment centres and other public and private institutions.

The Chief Minister enquired about the vacant government lands around the lake with the help of Google maps and opined that skyscrapers could be built there. He said that the vacant land belonging to DBR Mills on Lower Tank Bund, opposite Hotel Marriott, between Necklace Road and the railway track, near Ambedkarnagar an-d few other areas would be the ideal location.
