Three men surrender in courts for bomb in bin
Arrested culprits are history sheeters
Chennai: Two men surrendered before a court in Madurai and another person at a court in Villupuram on Wednesday in connection with the seizure of country bombs from a garbage bin in Anna Nagar in Madurai on Monday.The police said history-sheeter Varichur Selvam and his associate Parthiban surrendered before the judicial magistrate court VI on Wednesday morning. Their associate Girimani surrendered in a court in Villupuram.
They had allegedly carried the bombs to Madurai from Chennai to settle a dispute with another gang. The anti-gangster squad of Chennai city on Friday arrested four men from their hideout at Iyappanthangal in a special operation. The associates of Appala Raja, they had camped in the city for the past two weeks to murder a rival gang member, Vairamuthu, the police said.
