Chennai: Daniel Annie Pope, famous for his Friendu love matter, dialogue can be forgiven for taking things at a leisurely pace after his hilarious act in Idharkuthaane... as Romba Sumaar Moonji Kumar. It was well worth the wait, as Daniel will be seen soon along with Suriya in Masss!

“When Studio Green called me to come in for the role, I was absolutely psyched. My very first day of the shoot was with Suriya, and after the scene was done, he took me aside to tell me that his brother Karthi is my biggest fan ever! Apparently, he keeps chanting my hit dialogue all day long, for every situation,” Daniel exclaims excitedly.

The ever-smiling Loyola College graduate goes on, “I was absolutely floored that such a huge star could compliment me this way. Masss is a supernatural thriller of sorts; where I team up with Karunas to aid Suriya in mysterious ways after something untoward happens to him let’s just leave it at that. Expect ghosts, spookiness and lots more!”

But Daniel’s other upcoming projects are equally interesting, Rangoon with Gautham Karthik where he plays the second lead; the laugh riot Kathaadi with Dhanshikaa and Karthik; Aayirathil Iruvar with Vinay; and finally his debut as a lead, Indha Moonji OK Va a horror comedy.

Though his acting career’s going great guns already, the multi-faceted Daniel already has plans to try his hands at directing too - with his original script — “It’ll be a full-fledged comedy about the journey of three fools and their misadventures; the tentative title being Kuthirai Muttai which is inspired from tales of Tamil folklore!”
