Mumbai: After enduring the news about the most-hyped and talked-about fallout and so-called patch up, Karan Johar and Kajol are back in news. The once-upon-a-time best friends have created some cult Bollywood films together and their friends and well-wishers were happy that they finally decided to bury the hatchet. But looks like it was a bit too early to celebrate.
Reason? Apparently, Karan had offered Kajol a plum role in a film that he has penned. Rumours say that despite liking the story Kajol chose to politely decline the offer. “Making up with friends is one thing and a professional commitment is another. It’s better to not mix the two. Kajol is very fond of Karan but not wanting to take on work as of now should not be misconstrued,” says a source close to the actress.
The Kajol camp insists that she is yet to come across a subject that will compel her to take up a film. Disappointed but not dejected, Karan is hopeful that he’ll get a chance to direct his friend and lucky mascot in future. After opting out of Ram Madhvani’s next, Kajol has given a thumbs down to many other producers queuing up to sign her.
We guess it’s going to be a long wait.
