Hyderabad: EFLU authorities have called for a complete ban of cultural activities on campus that are conducted without prior permission from the administration.
Students have cried foul and called this announcement as curtailment of democracy and complete violation of UGC guidelines.
Tension prevailed on the campus as there were about 15 policemen expecting some form of protest, but students resorted to rather varied forms of expressing their disagreement to the protest by conducting poetry reading sessions or an open house for discussions.
The administration put up two notices. saying “Student groups, either with political affiliation, self-styled bodies with any form of agendas will not be allowed to hold any cultural events unless prior permission is sought.”
