Man in Uttar Pradesh pays Rs 50,000 for a bride, who turns out to be a boy

Agra: A man from Uttar Pradesh paid Rs 50,000 to get married but to his disappointment the 'bride' turned out to be a boy.

According to a report, Balak Ram, 37, reportedly paid the money to a dance troupe leader, Hukam Singh, who promised to find him a bride.

Balak Ram is reported to be mentally unsound. Singh introduced Ram to a 29-year-old Raj Kumari and the two got married. But after a week of marriage, Balak Ram discovered that Raj Kumari was actually Raj Kumar, aged 15.

Surprisingly, Balak Ram is happy to pose with a sari-clad Raj Kumar, who also does not mind wearing the women garment occasionally.
