Parents await justice for 8 year old’s death
Hyderabad: It has been over a year that Gandla Ganesh, an eight year-old boy from Krishnaveni Talent School in Sadashivpet died after severe corporal punishment by a teacher.
His parents are still awaiting justice. No compensation, no trial and not even a police enquiry report has been submitted so far. The parents have been running from pillar to post seeking justice, but in vain.
They have approached the Childline, DEO’s office, collectors, State Human Rights Commission, Lokayukta, many ministers and MLAs.
“My son was hit on the head because he would stammer. It caused internal bleeding resulting in his death. He was sent to school to learn and they killed him.
I am not seeking compensation but justice. The teacher who committed the offence is still working at the school,” said Gandla Krishna, the child’s father a taxi driver.
