Naidu announced Rs 1.50 lakh per acre loan waiver to all farmers

Visakhapatnam: Indigo Airlines will be making Vizag as its hub for flight operations and the city would grow to be a tourist destination in near future, said AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at a meeting held at Aripaka village in Sabbavaram mandal on Monday.

The Chief Minister had already met the Airlines officials and the company accepted to operate services from Vizag to all cities across the country that would pave way for improving tourism in the region.

“Vizag city will become important tourist destination in near future with excellent air-connectivity. We have plans to improve the city as a financial capital, apart from making it a beautiful one on par with Hyderabad and Bengaluru,” he said.

Mr Naidu said that the government had requested the Union government to start road connectivity between Anakapalli and Anandapuram for relieving traffic pressure on Vizag.

Assuring 20-25 TMC of water to Vizag, once the Polavaram project comes to reality, Mr Naidu appreciated the efforts of the employees for making the city livable within days post-Hudhud.

Meanwhile, chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced Rs 1.50 lakh per acre loan waiver to all farmers in all North Andhra districts, who faced huge damages to crops during Cyclone Hudhud. “We will waive tax from palm trees in an attempt to help them.
