Arpita Khan’s wedding guest list

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s sister Arpita will be tying the knot at the Falaknuma Palace in the city on November 18 and there is much speculation in the media regarding the guest list.

And while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited by Salman, sources from the Bharatiya Janata Party dismiss reports of the PM’s wedding rendezvous with the Khans as “mere conjecture, the Prime Minister has to look at his schedule. Also, there is the security issue. How can the Prime Minister attend a wedding which is likely to have innumerable gate- crashers because of superstar Salman’s presence?”

Talking about the PM’s chances of being seen at the wedding, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, who will be attending, says, “Firstly, I am not a spokesperson for either the Prime Minister or the party. It would be nice to see Mr Modi take some time off for this wedding as Salman and his family seem very fond of him.”

Celebrities who will be attending Arpita’s wedding include: Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and family, David Dhawan along with his wife and sons Varun and Rohit Dhawan, and Hema Malini and Dharmendra.

From the T-town, Chiranjeevi and son Ram Charan will attend the do. Contrary to reports, Shah Rukh Khan and the Bachchans have not confirmed their presence.

Shah Rukh, however, is likely to be make it, as he’s close to Salman’s family. Says a source, “Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri are very fond of Arpita. For Arpita’s sake, Salman Khan’s family would walk that extra mile. Ever since Arpita came into their home, Salman’s family feels their lives have transformed for the better. They don’t deny her anything.”
