Another Telugu Desam MLA Challa Dharma Reddy joins TRS
Hyderabad: Challa Dharma Reddy, a strong leader and Telugu Desam MLA, elected from Parkal Assembly in Warangal, joined the TRS on Sunday in presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Welcoming Mr Dharma Reddy into the party by offering him a ‘pink khanduva’ Mr Rao said there is a need for all people’s representatives elected in different political parties to be united in achieving the ‘Golden Telangana’.
“Let there be no politics in development, everyone has to be united and only then we can succeed in our efforts to build a ‘Golden Telangana’ said Mr Rao in a meeting at Telangana Bhavan.
Several second-rung leaders from the TD in Parkal and other Assembly segments in Warangal district also joined Challa Dharma Reddy, who had met Mr Rao ten days ago to convey his decision to formally join the party.
Mr Reddy is the third TD MLA to join the TRS after Teegala Krishna Reddy, and Talasani Srinivasa Yadav.
A total of 15 TD MLAs were elected in the general elections.
