Not Arjun but Sonakshi's popularity gathered crowd during Tevar's outdoor shoot

The first trailer of Amit Sharma's upcoming movie 'Tevar' is out

Mumbai: At the trailer launch of 'Tevar' Arjun Kapoor and the entire cast and crew lived up to the title. They fully utilised the stage to portray the whole idea behind the film. However during the event Arjun did not leave a single chance of taking a dig at Sonakshi Sinha.

If rumours are to be believed, Sonakshi was the reason for a lot of crowd that used to gather around their shooting locations. Now you can't blame the fame of this beauty for that. This somehow was not taken on a good note by Arjun who kept cracking up jokes on Sonakshi during the event. Yes it made the crowd giggle but was Sonakshi happy with it too?

Moving on, producers Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor left no stones unturned in adding spunk to the trailer launch of 'Tevar', literally justifying the title of the film. Prabhudheva along with Satish Kaushik, Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor graced the front row with jovial smiles.

The setup of the trailer launch was just like a mela with a mini giant wheel here and a columbus ship there. They even had a palm reader along with a pan wala stall. What's a mela without a 'chaat' corner? Yes they made sure there was one, rather two. In short the trailer launch was nothing less than an actual mela.

The motion poster gave away few glimpses of the film leaving us curious about the trailer. From chasing car sequences to breaking bones, the trailer gives us a preview of the action-packed drama. The knight in the shining armour Arjun Kapoor aka Pintu is an ordinary person trapped in an extraordinary situation in the film. Situation makes these three ends (Manoj, Arjun and Sonakshi) meet.

At the event launch, Manoj Bajpai who will be seen donning the role of Gajendra said, "I have never treated my role in the film as a negative role. This guy Gajendra is a lover not a villain and I have treated the character like that. Whatever he does is for the love of his life."

Sonakshi being her usual bubbly self spoke about how the mob made it difficult for her to shoot at real locations. To that Arjun mocked her saying Ye to superstar desi kalakaar hain”. Apparently Arjun didn't like Sonakshi Sinha stealing the limelight from him. Don't worry Arjun you have millions of female fan following to compensate that.

Arjun Kapoor essays the role of a local ruffian - Pintu. The actor has literally created a niche for himself in this genre with films like Gunday and Ishaqzaade.

When asked about his experience while shooting for his home production Tevar, Arjun quips, "I have enjoyed the process of making this film. I did not take anything lightly just because it's my dad's production."

The film, directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Arjun's dad Boney and uncle Sanjay Kapoor, is a remake of Telugu superhit Okkadu, which featured Mahesh Babu in the lead role. It will hit the screens on January 9.
