ITC is up by 3.5 per cent and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries gains 2.3 per cent
Mumbai: Defensive stocks top gainers on Sensex. ITC is up 3.5 per cent, while Sun Pharmaceutical Industries gains 2.3 per cent. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories gains 0.8 per cent and Hindustan Unilever shares is up by 0.6 per cent.
Traders turn to safe havens amid string of record highs on indexes. The 30-share Sensex is down 0.3 per cent after setting records in each of the previous five sessions.
