Parents of striking doctors seek talks with officials
Hyderabad: Only ten parents of the 3,000, who had been sent notices for the striking junior doctors, have come forward to represent their case. The parents set a deadline of 48 hours and requested the government to end the impasse.
Speaking at the protest venue near Indira Park, parents urged the government to “participate in meaningful talks with them.” They said that the law was illogical and the demand of permanent rural service must be considered.
The government claims that there have been five rounds of talks and four demands have been accepted, but junior doctors are refusing to call off the strike. According to sources, the action initiated by the health department in view of attendance is making junior doctors jittery.
