BENGALURU: The S J Park police have arrested a 37-year-old man and recovered one kg of gold ingots from him. The accused has been identified as Kiran Sham, a resident of AECS Layout in Sanjaynagar.
Police said that based on a tip off they nabbed Kiran on OTC Road. The search revealed that he was in possession of one kg gold ingots, worth Rs 30 lakh, and had no supporting documents nor did he give any convincing answers.
“He was brought to the station and grilled. After that he confessed that he along with his associates had robbed the ingots from a person near the International Airport area in August. We are questioning him to know more about the incident,” the police added. Further investigations are on.
