'Practise what you preach Aamir' say Twitteratis
Aamir Khan is being slammed on social networking sites for not practising what he preaches on his show Satyamev Jayate. The finale episode which dealt with what makes a real man and further asked people to pledge their support to stop films from portraying women as an ‘item’ or an ‘object', did not go down well with a section of audience.
Twitteratis asked Aamir to take a lesson from his show and that he himself should start following whatever he has been asking others to do. While a user @Livewire7teen on Twitter says, “Irony: The guy showing nudity in PK poster is talking about culture and mardangi #ARealMan,” another user, @Akshayjoshi87, with a bit of sarcasm added, “#ARealMan is who questions about Bollywood on his show & has a song called tharki chokro in his upcoming movie (sic).” And a series of tweets revolving around his movies and the nudity in PK poster started doing the rounds.
Parineeti Chopra, who was also present at the finale of the show, rightly stated that “Idolisation is an important factor that influences men around the country. They imitate the actions of a hero to impress a woman.”
Hope Aamir Khan takes a clue from the statement and starts practising what he is trying to preach.
