Retaining wall project to get bigger, better
Vijayawada: The long-pending proposal to build a retaining wall along the River Krishna to protect the citizens from floods appears to be finally getting underway, and turned into a tourism project.

As per new proposal, the retaining wall project will be upgraded into a multi-purpose tourism project.
The legislators and officials discussed the new proposal which would include the construction of the retaining wall.
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan said that the government had already approved the retaining wall project, from Seethammavari Paadalu to Ramalingeswaranagar, at an outlay of Rs 300 crore as part of its election promise.
