NTPC staff celebrate Raising Day
This day marked establishment day of the corporation 40 years ago
Karimnagar: Employees of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) celebrated ‘Raising Day’ in Ramagundam on Friday, to mark establishment day of the corporation 40 years ago. A large number of employees and their family members participated in the walk (prabhat pheri), which was led by chief guest general manager (operations and maintenance) Ram Kuber, taken out in the streets of the township in the early morning.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Kuber highlighted the glorious history of the corporation and its contribution to the development of the country. He threw light on the success story of Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station, established in 1983.
Earlier, he hoisted the corporation flag at May Day Park. GM-TS Shri Srinivasa Rao Bhavaraju, GM-Ma-intenance N.K. Sinha, AGMs, HoDs, CISF officers and jawans, office bearers of different unions and associations and employees were present. The Raising Day is observed on November 7, on which date the corporation was established in 1975.
